Next Imagination Break
September 5th @ 11am-12:30pm PST
Theme: An Ant's Point of View
What is an imagination break ?
Think of it like a live guided journey where Dungeon's & Dragons, meditation, and depth psychology meet.
For 30–40 minutes, I take you through a narrated, vivid imaginary world. Your only job is to follow along and imagine everything as fully as you can — the sights, sounds, textures, and atmosphere.
Along the way you'll hit some special opportunities for your imagination is prompted to produce images spontaneously, as if "it was in the drivers seat". What surfaces is instinctive, often symbolic, and deeply meaningful and personal- often leading people to create beautiful art or have insightful fodder for journaling and self discovery afterwards.
This is not a visualization podcast you put on while folding laundry. It's a live, facilitated imaginal experience — and what happens in the room (the experiences that people's minds generate from the same journey) is the most interesting part.
How it works
15-20 mins
You take out your art supplies and we make art, journal, or write poetry to integrate all that came up for you in the journey.
15-30 mins
We turn back on our cameras and share as a group what our experiences were like. This is often the most rewarding part of the hour and a half is learning what other people found on their journey and the wide variety of experiences that can occur. (Many people stay longer because the conversation can get really alive here!!)
What does the work do?
- Connects you to personal imagery and deeper parts of self
- Strengthens imagination capacities
- Strengthens access to instinctive, creative impulses
- Gives you an arena to practice getting out of your head and trusting the first thought
- Provides raw material for writing, art, or any creative work
